Hafele Korea participates in Busan EDC 'Smart + Interior Forum'
On the 14th, a meeting with members of the Smart + Interior Forum was held at the EDC Smart Village in Busan.
In this meeting hosted by Samsung Electronics and Smart + Interior, executives from the Smart + Interior Forum and major member companies such as Hafele Korea, Hanssem, and KT Estate participated.
Busan EDC Smart Village is the first smart city in Korea, and is operated as a living lab where residents can live here for 5 years and experience a smart home while enjoying various living conveniences based on remote control of home appliances using the Samsung Electronics SmartThings app.
The meeting started with the Busan EDC Smart Village tour, and in-depth discussions took place among member companies about discovering new businesses for smart + interior companies. After the tour, Samsung Electronics announced the operation status of the EDC demonstration complex and held a technology seminar for member companies related to the Intelligent Internet of Things (AIoT), starting with the SmartThings Future Strategy.
Hafele Korea is a major member of the Smart + Interior Forum of the Korea AI Smart Home Industry Association, and is seeking to expand its business from the LOOX lighting business, which is its main strategic focus, to the IoT smart area. An official from Hafele Korea said, "We plan to introduce various solutions to the market through B2B cooperation between the chairman and member companies of the smart interior forum by directly visiting the smart interior demonstration complex."
